Are the values of the digital outputs from the KFLOP also indeterminate at startup? I am using (2) SnapAmps, not Kanalog, along with a few digital outputs from KFLOP to control things like air and mist.

I need to figure out whether I need to keep +12V power off to peripheral devices until after startup.

At that moment everything is turned on, my chip, hidraulics pump, emulsion pump spindle, EVERYTHING. So it takes a lot of power and the fuse shuts it off. Is there a way to set KFLOP not to turn on all pins to high on startup? thanks.

Hi Hugh,

The KFLOP IO pins power up as inputs.  Initially with weak pull downs and then float (until configured and set).  Some (first 8 on JP6) have stronger 150ohm pull downs and will not float.   The pins on JP7 will float but there will be a burst of activity for ~90us to attempt to autodetect a Kanalog.

OK, thanks for the info. Because the SnapAmps will be used for differential encoder inputs, I'll probably pull down some or all of I/O 0 - 7 and use those as outputs to switch things like air or mist.
